He excels at solving problems, creating win-win outcomes and taking himself and everyone else to the next level. He loves his chosen career and states, “this is a unique profession because you can truly have a life-changing impact on the lives of those with whom you interact. I want to help clients have the best outcome possible. Money means different things to different people and in order to best serve each client, that is important for us to understand. Trust and integrity matter most to me even if it means taking the harder road.”

Michael Espinosa is the Vice President at TrueNorth Retirement Services. He graduated summa cum laude from BYU-Idaho, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in business management, with an emphasis in finance. Following graduation, Michael wanted to get as much experience in investments as possible so he moved to Arizona to work for Vanguard. While there, he obtained the Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses as he helped hundreds of clients work for financial success. Michael has many accomplishments, but the one he is the proudest of is studying for and becoming a CFP® professional. He went on to earn his MBA from Western Governors University

Before coming to TNWM, Michael worked as a fiduciary advisor for a large RIA that serves 401(k) plans. His team managed over 25 plans with assets totaling over $800 million under advisement. He enjoyed creating educational content for participants as well as helping senior management make their retirement plans as effective as possible.

Michael is driven and consistent and thrives on getting the job done. After working diligently on a project, he is excited to report the positive results his team has achieved.

Michael loves being outdoors whenever possible, and spending quality time with his incredible wife, son and good friends. He enjoys vegetable gardening, fishing, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, traveling, pickle ball, and is good at most sports, the exception being golf. A favorite activity is to relax in a hammock with his wife, reading a book together and then discussing it. He loves pistachio ice cream, pineapple on pizza, and tropical fruit. Michael is usually busy, but someday he would like to travel more, and snowboard or mountain bike in various places around the world. He loves driving, and when he was younger wanted to be a racecar driver. Michael is inspired by people who work hard and make their own luck, and people who show kindness to others. He volunteers at Tree Utah, planting trees, and previously served an LDS mission to Colombia. His favorite book is Lord of the Rings, by Tolkien, and he enjoys listening to music with thought provoking meanings behind the lyrics.
