Michael Espinosa is the President at TrueNorth Retirement Services. He oversees all things related to retirement plans including employee education, plan design, and service provider transitions. He works to maximize the effectiveness of each client’s retirement plan.
Before coming to TrueNorth Wealth, Michael worked as a fiduciary advisor for a large RIA that serves 401(k) plans. His team oversaw more than 25 retirement plans with assets under management totaling over $800 million. He specialized in creating educational content for participants and helping senior managers make their retirement plans as effective as possible.
Michael graduated summa cum laude from BYU-Idaho. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management, with an emphasis in finance. He later went on to earn his MBA from Western Governors University
Michael started his career working for Vanguard in Scottsdale, Arizona. While there, he obtained the Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses as he helped hundreds of clients work for financial success while he held a variety of roles.
Michael loves being outdoors whenever possible, and spending quality time with his incredible wife and two children. He enjoys vegetable gardening, fishing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and pickleball. He volunteers at Tree Utah, and previously served an LDS mission to Colombia.
Who is one of your heroes?
My Grandfather. He is dedicated to his family and helps his grandchildren achieve their dreams. He is one of the kindest and wisest people I know.
What can’t you live without?
My wife. She is amazing and a true partner in every sense of the word.
