Jacob is a go-getter and will stop at nothing to accomplish his goals. Being a seasoned cross country and long distance runner has taught him that the best things in life are the things you need to work for. Whether it’s countless miles logged or hours spent learning all he can about personal finance, Jacob is passionate about the projects he takes on.
His enjoyment of financial education has blossomed from a hobby to his career aspiration. Whether its articles or videos about personal finance you will almost always find Jacob learning more about the financial world. While studying towards his Bachelors of Science in Finance at the University of Connecticut, Jacob has used his winter and summer breaks to gain knowledge and certifications to propel him to be the best aspiring financial advisor he can be. He has passed the Series 65 Uniform Investment Advisor Exam, The Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and most recently, the Accredited Wealth Manager Advisor (AWMA™) Exam. His next goal is to complete his Masters in Personal Financial Planning and then study and sit for the CFP certification exam.
Jacob interned with the firm over the summer and instantly felt like he was part of the team. He has continued working and supporting the paraplanning and operations departments virtually while finishing up his last year at school. He misses the easy access to the amazing hiking and beautiful scenery that Salt Lake City has to offer but hopes to be back at some point in the future. When you don’t find Jacob working or running he is probably enjoying the outdoors, spending time with his girlfriend of over 4 years, doing yoga, or cooking. He proclaims that while he doesn’t have too many hobbies and interests, everything he does do he gives 110%.
Who is your inspiration?
My grandmother. She was a very influential part of my childhood and is the nicest and most generous person I know. She always puts others’ needs before her own and it’s inspiring how much she cares for others. I want to emulate her kindness and do as much as I can to make everyone around me happy.
What is your favorite food?
Sushi. Easy one. There is nothing like high-quality sushi. I prefer the simple rolls. Nothing fancy but a basic tuna avocado gets the job done every time.
